This 4-day, 3-night tour will give you the most diverse experience out of all of our packages. We'll drive through the famed Columbia River Gorge to take us to canyons, fossil beds, mountains, desert, and hot springs. Each day will be vastly different from the last and will allow you to step into a world that is the Northwest's best-kept secret.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 - On our first day, we'll head through the Columbia River Gorge to our first destination where we'll enjoy hiking through the scenic canyonlands of Cottonwood Canyon. We'll stop for a lunch break before hiking back to the car and heading to the quaint town of Condon where we'll enjoy dinner and visit a historic hotel for the evening.

Day 2 - After eating breakfast at the hotel, we'll be on our way to our 2-part day. First we'll take a short hike through some of the Northwest's most unique scenery amidst the Painted Hills, and then we'll get to explore Oregon's vast fossil beds. From here, we'll head on to Burns, where we'll enjoy our next 2 evenings when we're not out exploring.

Day 3 - Probably the most exciting day of the trip, today offers two parts as well. First, we'll head out for a morning hike around Oregon's southeastern-most mountain just north of Nevada, Steens Mountain. After hiking, we'll reward ourselves with a trip to a real desert right here in Oregon known as the Alvord Desert, topped off with a dip in the Alvord hot springs. After we've spent enough time soaking in the springs, we'll head back to the hotel from our previous evening for a farm-to-table dinner and resting up for our fourth and final day.

Day 4 - Today we'll head to one of Oregon's biggest adventure playgrounds - the exciting town of Bend. Just outside of Bend we'll hike through the high desert among tuff and basalt cliffs for some of the most dramatic scenery we've seen so far. After basking in nature's beauty, we'll head back to Portland for you to enjoy the rest of your stay in the Northwest.
