Refund and Reservation Policies

General Refund Policy:

All trips must be paid in full no later than 30 calendar days prior to departure of their purchased tour. Payments made prior to this are 100% refundable should a guest need to cancel. After 30 days prior to departure but before 14 days prior, guests will receive a refund minus a $250 per person administrative fee upon cancellation. After 14 days prior to departure date but before 7 days prior, guests will receive a 50% refund upon cancellation. Cancellations made after 7 days prior to departure are non-refundable.


The above-referenced refund policy will apply for guests who need to cancel. Cascadian Journeys reserves the right to cancel for reasons including, but not limited to, emergencies such as inclement weather. In such rare instances, we will try to notify guests as soon as possible and will offer the option of switching to a different tour or departure date at no extra charge, or issue a full refund.


While cancellations described above are unlikely, occasionally Cascadian Journeys may need to modify tours. This would occur if, for example, certain roads leading to a day's destination are closed or pose unsafe travel conditions due to weather. Here at Cascadian Journeys we monitor roads via up-to-the-minute information provided by the Oregon Department of Transportation. As a result, modifications may occur at the last minute. Such modifications may involve changing where our hikes, activities, meals, and lodging may take place on any given day of a tour. In these instances, we make efforts to still ensure that our guests get a fully enjoyable Northwest experience. Guests will not receive a refund if such a modification needs to be made.

Mid- tour Emergencies:

Cascadian Journeys takes all precautions to ensure the safety of our guests. Your experienced guide will be Wilderness First Aid and CPR certified. However, in even more rare instances, medical emergencies occur that may cause a tour to be modified or even ended early. In such instances, tours will not be refunded. Further, any associated cost with the medical emergency, such as a need for first responders to arrive, will be the responsibility of the guest experiencing the emergency. While Cascadian Journeys does not require trip insurance, it is highly recommended in the rare event that such an emergency occurs. 


All guests will be required to sign an assumption of risk and liability waiver. These will be emailed to guests after check-out along with your detailed suggested packing list.
